Gallagher worked with the statewide coalition to protect the Ohio Local Government Fund, which provides funding to local governments so they can provide crucial services such as police and fire protection, EMT services, assistance for the aging, and many other essential programs for Ohioans. Gallagher provided coalition management and media relations support to help the group advocate for its cause. Gallagher successfully worked with a divergent group to earn major media coverage throughout Ohio. The firm worked judiciously within a restrained budget by leveraging online strategies and earned media.

Gallagher developed a brand identity for the coalition. The firm also developed all collateral materials, web site (with assistance from coalition member) legislative briefings, online media kit, etc. All items were created with a very minimum budget. Members of the Local Government Fund Coalition include the following statewide organizations: County Commissioners Association of Ohio, Ohio Association of Regional Councils, Ohio Municipal League, Ohio Parks and Recreation Association and the Ohio Township Association.

The effort was also supported by: Coalition of Large Ohio urban Townships, Cuyahoga Mayors’ and Managers’ Association, Greater Dayton Mayors’ and Managers’ Association, Hamilton County Municipal League, Licking County Planning Commission, Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission and Northeast Ohio Mayors’ and Managers’ Association.
