Prior to launching her own firm, Annie was Senior Vice President of Opinion Strategies, Inc. In this role she led client projects in market research and communications. Annie spent several years of her career working in investor and public relations for LBrands, a multi-billion dollar retail company. She also served in leadership roles in communications and political affairs for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. As a consultant, she developed the first systematic research design to assess the voting behavior of state Supreme Court justices. Her approach is now used as a national model throughout the U.S.
Annie holds a B.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University, a M.A. in Communications and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University, and received training from CoachU, the largest coach training for business coaches in the world.
She is a member of National Communications Honor Society's/Lambda Pi Eta Graduate Chapter at Gonzaga, and also a member of the International Coach Federation. She serves on the Advisory Board of Franklin University’s Organizational Communication School and a past member of the Public Relations Society of America’s task force on executive programming.
Annie serves on the boards of Ohio Dominican University, the Child Injury Prevention Alliance, and the Columbus Zoo Ambassador group. She is a founding member of Ross Leadership Institute, the United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council, and the Martha’s Giving Circle of the Catholic Foundation, and is a graduate and past board member of Leadership Columbus. She is also a past board member of Franklin County Residential Services and Project OpenHand.
She has been recognized by Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD) as a “Woman you Should Know,” and has been invited by The White House to share her insights on business issues and the economy. She was also named a "Forty under 40" leader to watch by Business First, and has been awarded for her volunteer efforts.
